Breathe Yourself Back Onto Your System

We are very busy. All of us. Seemingly, all the time. If we’re not busy, we feel there’s something wrong with the world, with ourselves.

On the other hand, when we’re busy, things tend to get out of hand, out of whack, out of character. We long for respite, for the proverbial tropical drink on a private beach, though we know that we probably wouldn’t last a day there.

Our lives are full of moving parts nowadays. Every click, swipe, tap, and view, constitutes one of those moving parts. And that’s only what we do with a device.

We have a system, or we’d like to think so, to help us sort through the augmented reality that is now. Unfortunately, we’re more like a 3-ball juggler trying to leap to a 30-ball juggler while riding a unicycle.

Fortunately, breath juggling can be a very effective alternative to actually learning how to juggle.

The trick? Whenever we feel busy, close our eyes, take a few deep breaths. Whenever we don’t feel busy, close our eyes, take a few deep breaths.

Then, go on with our lives, and take a few more deep breaths while we’re at it.
