The Art of a Start Up

The three key S’s of starting a business.

Solid Idea

Now I realize this might not constitute as an S word, but as start ups come, without a solid idea you will get know where. The key to a solid idea is consumer supply and demand. If you don’t have the ability to supply to enough product to people who will purchase it, your business will inevitably fail.

Social Media

A big part of the start up is the front that the customer sees and how it appeals to the consumer. When have you ever seen a social media page or profile from a company that looks unappealing, and you think to yourself, “I’d like to see more about this”. Never, because social media is king. It is the easiest and most effective marketing took of today’s age.

Social media has the power to take your company from a nobody to one of the biggest in the shortest time possible. Promoting your company on any one of the top social media sites is the fastest way to get your product out on the market.

Specialization

Broad company's inevitably fail. Unless you are a conglomerate who has a name everyone knows, selling a spectrum of items can put off customers and potential users. Creating a unique customer base is how many of these large companies began. Having the ability to sell to a set of people who need your product will create a never ending supply of cash flow that you can then use to expand your companies products. But, in the first stage of a start up it is always better to specialize so you can get your “feet wet” in the business world.

One major theme to a start up no matter what the company is, is research. Before ever beginning a start up, do your research, because this can be the factor that sets your company apart and leads you down the correct path.
