Weekend with My Family

Friday, October 7th — Saturday, October 8th

It was awesome to be able to see my parents for the first time since early August. They were able to make it to Charlotte on Friday to watch my race, and then we got to spend the entire day Saturday on campus enjoying the activities provided by Student Life. On Saturday we enjoyed ribs and barbecue before the game provided by a local company, and then we watched the game which was the first football game my mom has seen since she went to college. During halftime my family went to the King Center for the presidential recption where we were able to talk to alumni and got free food. After the game we went the lounge area where there was a DJ, recption food, and plenty of games to play. I didn’t meet anybody knew this weekend other than various alumni, but I cant remember their names. Overall, it was a fun weekend with my parents and I’m glad to be able to see them again.
