Submission Rules and Guidelines

CARRIE Magazine is committed to creating an inclusive environment that celebrates creativity from every angle, and is looking for work from writers with offbeat and distinct voices or unconventional perspectives surrounding the topics we publish.

With that being said we accept submissions from EVERYONE but do give preference to:

Also please keep in mind, we do read every submission that crosses our desk. We want to uplift and give a platform to writers who may have a difficult time publishing so we ask that you send us your absolute best. CARRIE is a family, and when you publish with us you become part of it, that’s our mission. Most features are one-time only but we are looking for recurring writers if that request is made.

To submit articles, short stories, or poetry to our publication we ask that you first let us know in the comments below by typing, “I want to write for CARRIE Magazine.” For non-medium account contributors, please put your name, submission category, and title of your work in the subject line of your email and send your submission to submissions.carriemag@gmail.com. For all submissions please allow us up to 48 hours to review it before reaching out again.

All works will be proofed. Once we add you as a writer it will be proofed by an editor, and then posted. We DO accept works from non-Medium account holders but that must also be indicated in the email. We also accept works from writers wishing to remain anonymous — you may request to have your work published under any name.
