The Most Beautiful Love Song Ever Written

Through the years, there have been many lists of the greatest love song every written, and I’m not sure why the best of them all has never been mentioned, but I think it’s time to bring back this golden oldie.

That said, I’m going to tell you that while Jerry Butler’s recording in 1958 was well received, he wasn’t the guy that made it truly great. That honor I’m going to give to a South African guy by the name of Zane Grey and his band, The Flames.

The reason for that is he added a story to the beginning, and it is those words that make it simply the greatest, most beautiful love song in the world. Jerry Butler wrote a beautiful song, but it was the additional words that Zane Grey and the Flames added to it that made it touch the heart.

Possibly you’ve never heard if, because maybe it was just released in South Africa, I don’t know. I do know that I have never known a song to touch me as deeply at this one. I hope, when you’ve heard it, that you feel the same way.
